Rajib Awas Yojana

The “Rajiv AwasYojana” (RAY) scheme envisioning a “Slumfree India” through the legal empowerment of slum dwellers by giving them legal entitlement to dwelling spaces at an affordable cost.

Rourkela was one among the Six   city selected by Govt. of Odihsa in 1st phase for implementation of  RAY scheme in the year 2011-12.Under the RAY scheme total 33221 house hold survey data with house hold number covering 106 identified slum was undertaken with tenability assessment  and uploaded in online MIS format . A  pilot DPR covering   1556 HH was prepared covering18.86 acres of land in Madhusudan palli slum was prepared with an estimated cost of Rs.8266.33 Lakh . The DPR for construction of G+3 houses with infrastructure facility was recommended by State Level Nodal Agency, H&UD Department Odisha, which has been approved by Ministry of Housing &Urban Development Department,GoI. Though the  Ist installment funds was received the implementation of  project   has been stopped which will be implemented as per new policy guidelines of Govt. of  India ,issued under AMRUT and Housing for All  scheme.
