MADHUBABU PENSION YOJANA (MBPY)

The Rourkela Municipal Corporation is distributing Pension under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension (IGNOAP) and Madhu Babu Pension Yojana (MBPY) from the year 2008 & 2010 respectively. The Monthly pension of Rs.300/- is given to Old Age Pension/ Widow Pension and Disable Pension beneficiaries each month under the different Social Security Scheme of IGNOP & MBPY. The target/achievement and vacancy position under the scheme for the current year is given below.

The Mission is being implemented during 2015-2022 and provides central assistance to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and other implementing agencies through States/UTs for:

In-situ Rehabilitation of existing slum dwellers using land as a resource through private participation

	Old Age Pension / Widow Pension (National Old Age Pension / State Old Age Pension)
	Financial assistance (monthly pension) of Rs.200/- is given to poor aged persons above 60 years under the above scheme. Widows with age group 18 to 59 are also provided Rs. 300/-each month under the scheme on Jana Seva Diwas which is 15th of every month. No. of Pension Holder in IGNOAP 11998 and MBPY 19974.
	DP-AIDS
	The person as & when affected by HIV will be eligible for financial assistant of monthly.
	National family benefit scheme (N.F.B.S)
	A onetime financial grant of Rs.20, 000/- is given to the legal heir of a poor deceased Person, Who is primary bread earner of the family and dies within 18 to 60 years of age.
